Apply now for 2008 International Leadership Institute programs

Application deadlines are quickly approaching for two exciting mentoring programs offered by the International Leadership Institute. Applications are currently being accepted for the Maternal-Child Health Leadership Academy and the Board Leadership Development Program.

Maternal-Child Health Leadership Academy (Deadline: Feb. 4, 2008)
This 18-month mentored leadership development experience is presented in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Pediatric Institute. Nurses and nurse midwives work with a mentor and team to influence future practice and patient outcomes. Multilevel learning is achieved through leadership self-assessment and development. Participants earn up to 80 hours of continuing nursing education credit. The program begins in June 2008.

Board Leadership Development Program (Deadline: Jan. 14, 2008)
Participants in this two-year program work with a mentor to gain knowledge and skills in the core aspects of trusteeship, fiduciary responsibilities, board and staff partnerships, strategic thinking and generative governance. Participants earn up to 100 hours of continuing nursing education credit. The program begins in March 2008.

The International Leadership Institute offers leadership programs, mentoring opportunities and career development resources designed to improve leadership skills and develop nurses’ unique gifts and talents. All programs are offered to honor society members as well as non-members.
