RESEARCH GRANTS/FELLOWSHIPS
Pediatric Oncology Nursing Small Project Grants
Up to $10,000 will be awarded, with a minimum of three small project grants awarded each year. These awards are designed to support the efforts of beginning nurse researchers to accomplish small research projects with both mentor and institutional support. Deadline is July 15, 2008. Mid-Level Projects Grants
Up to $20,000 will be awarded, with a minimum of three mid-level project grants awarded each year. Mid-level project awards are designed to financially support efforts of more experienced nurse researchers to accomplish research projects with the support and commitment of the institution where they practice. Nurse Researcher Grant
Up to $50,000 will be awarded, with a minimum of one grant awarded each year. Demonstration of a career plan that shows commitment to pediatric cancer nursing is a critical component of a successful application. Deadline is July 15, 2008. For more information, visit www.alexslemonade.org.
Delegates for China Ambassador Program Being Accepted
The Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Ambassador Program to China, "Healthy People, Healthy Communities Through Nursing Contributions,” is scheduled for May 18-26, 2008.
Delegates are currently being accepted for this exciting professional development exchange around issues in leadership, research, education and practice. The delegation will be led by Nancy Dickenson Hazard, RN, MSN, FAAN, former chief executive officer of Sigma Theta Tau International, with Dr. Gail Ingersoll, director, Clinical Nursing Research Center and professor, University of Rochester, New York; Dr. Ruth Kleinpell, professor, Rush University, Chicago, Illinois, and Dr. Daniel J. Pesut, professor and associate dean for graduate programs, Indiana University, as co-leaders.

The American Cancer Society invites applications from master's and doctoral students for support of graduate study. Scholarships range from $10,000 to $15,000.
